Our team

The people behind Oncera

Scientists, builders, and human-first innovators working at the intersection of survivorship research and real life, to change how care continues after treatment ends.

Rutu Ruparel

Rutu Ruparel

Founder & CEO

Rutu is the founder of Oncera and a molecular biology student at UT Austin. A TEDx speaker, she started Oncera after watching her own family navigate life after cancer, and seeing how little guidance exists once treatment ends. She's building science-based, personalized tools that help survivors rebuild their health, confidence, and sense of control.

What drives us

A team built around the survivor.

Grounded in research

Every insight is informed by the published survivorship literature, never guesswork.

Human-first

Designed with empathy for the emotional reality of life after cancer, not just the data.

Responsible by default

Educational and non-diagnostic, privacy-first, and honest about what Oncera is.

Clinical & scientific advisors

Guided by oncology & survivorship expertise.

Oncera is developed under ongoing guidance from clinicians, nutritionists, physical therapists, survivorship experts, and survivors themselves, the people who understand life after cancer from every angle.

Our advisory board of oncologists and clinical leaders has helped shape how Oncera is built, reviewing the science behind every domain so that each insight stays grounded, responsible, and rooted in real survivorship care.

After breast cancer treatment I still had so much going on. Hot flashes, joint pain, sleep problems, fear. Oncera kept it from becoming one big blur.
